Welcome to Ames Library. I co-supervise the Ask@Ames Desk in the Information Commons area of the library.  It is on the entry level floor where many of the computers are located.  My areas of responsibility include making sure that space is working for you.  Let me know how to make it better.

Stop by my office any time you need help with your assignments.

My office hours are:

Monday: 2-3pm

Tuesday: 11am - Noon

Wednesday: 3 - 4pm

Thursday: none

Friday: 9 -11am

You can often catch me in my office at other times too. Come on in if I'm there.

    Research Interests & Past Presentations

    • Digital Citizen Project
As Director of an eighteen month research project to significantly impact illegal piracy of electronically received materials, I oversaw multiple studies by researchers on multiple campuses reviewing campus-wide data, surveys, and interviews. Using a comprehensive approach to confront pervasive attitudes and behaviors in peer-to-peer downloading of movies, music, and media we addressed ethical and legal issues through the following education, self-monitoring, and providing legal sites.
    • ERIAL
A two year anthropological research project funded by the IL State Library and LSTA to study the search process of undergransduate students. It also interviewed librarians and teaching faculty to identify their interpretation of students obstacles and work.
